The process for selecting USA Hockey’s U-18 women’s national team for the 2018-19 season has begun with the release of its Top 70 players being invited to the Select Camp in Biddeford, Maine. Among them are 40 former members of our 2001- and 2002-birth year Selects teams that competed in various World Selects Invitationals from 2014 to 2017.
The 40 invitees represent 14 different states, including Minnesota which is sending 11 alums and Massachusetts sending five. The complete list of invitees can be found HERE, where Selects account for half of all defensemen and 25-of-40 forwards. Josephine Bothun and Jojo Chobak are among the goalies invited to the Select Camp slated to begin June 23rd.

A squad that will be coached by Maura Crowell — head coach of the University of Minnesota-Duluth women’s ice hockey team — USA Hockey will evaluate attendees during a seven-day camp and cut this list down before taking a smaller group to Lake Placid, New York, for final evaluation for the women’s U-18 team.
