The "Q Camp" replaces the NAPS Elite Camp in Buffalo and will feature air-conditioned dorm rooms, kitchenettes in dorm rooms & close proximity to rink (walking distance)
Participants receive on-ice instruction, lectures & video sessions from a variety of NHL, NCAA D1 & Major Junior coaches & scouts throughout the entire week. Players will work on their Hockey IQ (learning the final details of the game) as well as individual on-ice skills daily. Furthermore, this camp resembles a professional training camp where prospects will be pushed to perform both mentally & physically to compete at a higher level. This is a camp for the determined and dedicated hockey player. In addition, this camp serves as a great evaluation forum for players to be seen by our Selects coaching staff for a future opportunity to play on a Select team. For more details, please see below.
Note: During the registration process, you will see two different options for the Q Camp (boarding & non-boarding). Please select the appropriate one. (You can always change to boarding or non-boarding at a later date by notifying the Camp Director via email)
The dorms ARE air-conditioned and feature kitchenettes for those boarding overnight
The student-to-staff ratio is approximately 4 to 1. There are 2-4 campers in each dorm room at Monroe Community College (depending on the size of the room). ALL camp coaches, counselors, & Coordinators board in the University dorms (where the players are), providing 24 hour supervision. Lastly, there is a Hall Monitor for the dorm facilities for additional supervision.
Please note that Rooming Requests will NOT be accepted. There are two reasons for this:
