ATTENTION ALL CAMPERS!

New York State requires that all campers' health history forms are completed and on file. All forms must be completed no later than June 10, 2018, and all participants will also be e-mailed this information as a reminder to complete this form prior to camp. For any questions regarding the health form, please contact camp medical director Jim Porcella.

Monroe Community College

Important Details

  • Check-in/out will take place at Monroe Community College - Brighton Campus in Rochester, New York
    • Check-in: 2:30 - 4:00 pm, July 8th at Canal Dorm
    • Check-out: 12:00 pm must be out of dorm
    • Parent pick-up: 3:30 pm at Bill Gray's Regional Iceplex
  • Participants will receive a printed copy of their itinerary upon check-in
  • For any DAY campers in any of the camps: It is up to you when you want to drop off and pick up each day. The only requirement is that the player must first inform his group leader before being picked up
  • Early check-in: The earliest you should expect to check-in on July 8th would be 1:30 pm
  • Late check-in: Please note that late check-ins are permitted. On July 8th, check-ins will be available until 10:00 pm. If after 10:00 pm, please check-in the following morning.

Player Itinerary

Each player will receive a printed copy of their itinerary upon check-in

NOTE:
For any DAY Campers in any of the camps: It is up to you when you want to drop off and pick up each day.  The only requirement is that the player must first inform his Group Leader before being picked up.

Player Itineraries will be available by June 29, 2018 for the Q Camp

Bedard Goalie Camp (03-09 Groups)
Check In  7/8/18 2:30 - 4:00 pm at Canal Dorm
Check Out 7/12/18 12:00 pm must be out of dorm
3-330pm - parents pick up players at Bill Gray's Regional Iceplex

Check in/out Location

Players & staff will check in/out & room at Monroe Community College-Brighton Campus in Rochester, NY (exact building to be provided via email). Directions can be found below. Maps of both MCC (Monroe Comm. College) and Bill Gray's Regional Iceplex are also provided on the main camp webpage.

FROM AIRPORT:

Greater Rochester International Airport (ROC) - 10 minutes
Buffalo International Airport (BUF) - 1 hour

Early & Late Check-In Process

Early Check-In:  The earliest you should expect to be able to check-in on July 8th would be 1:30pm.
(NOTE: if checking in early and your Player Orientation does not begin until later, you will just have "down" time to get settled in your dorm, etc)

Late Check-In:  Please note that late check-ins are permitted.  On July 8th, check-ins will be available until 10:00pm.  If after 10pm, please check-in the following morning.


WHAT TO EXPECT AT CHECK-IN

Depending on when you are checking in, you should have time to settle-in to your dorm room (again, for those who are boarding overnight) prior to the Player Orientation Meeting (which is open to parents but not required to attend).

PLAYER ORIENTATION MEETING

Parents/adults are welcome to attend.  However, it is not a requirement. So after checking your child in and getting settled in the dorm room, you can leave if you would like to.

AIRPORT SHUTTLE SERVICES

Airport Transportation is not offered as this would require several additional staffers. However, provided below is the Rochester Airport transportation webpage containing several options if you wish to make your own arrangements: Rochester Intl Airport Ground Transportation.

WONDERING WHAT TO PACK?

  • Bed Linens will be provided - You may want to bring an extra pillow or towels
  • Hockey equipment
  • Extra skate laces & tape (there is a full-service pro shop on site.  However, we do not control their hours of business)
  • An extra stick to be used for off-ice stickhandling sessions (does not apply to Jim Bedard Goalie Camp)
  • Sneakers & gym clothes for off-ice activities
  • Sun screen
  • Toiletries (soap, shampoo, etc)
  • Shower shoes / flip-flops
  • Alarm clock
  • Wrist watch
  • Note pad & pen (for lectures, 1-on-1 meeting with coaches, etc)
  • Non-perishable snacks for the dorm room (water; Gatorade; pretzels; etc) (applies to overnight boarding participants only)

NOTE: the dorms are AIR-CONDITIONED so no need for a fan
