Dear Cougars Select:
As you get ready for your upcoming tournament, know that we are excited for you and look forward to you representing the Cougars Selects proudly on and off the ice. We truly want you to have a great experience and make lots of new friends during your tournament weekend. When we travel, please be aware of the following:
1. A Team Manager will be assigned for each tournament. The Manager will be responsible for the
official schedule and relay all changes to the team.
2. If you are unable to attend a scheduled event, please alert the Manager.
3. Coaches will set curfew and swim restrictions. Please make sure you follow their direction.
4. At scheduled team meals, we will have one table for players/coaches and a separate area for
families.
5. Players/siblings are expected to behave properly at meals, hotels and rinks. We take pride in our
reputation off the ice as well as on the ice.
6. Players will be given a navy Cougars Selects Polo shirt. To the rink, please wear clean khaki pants
or shorts (no holes) with the Polo shirt.
7. Study hall time is devoted for school work and quiet reading. No electronics.
8. Please make sure you are on time for all scheduled events.
9. During the weekend please keep your jersey on a hanger.
10. Ask your parents to put names in your shirts and socks as they will be charged to replace them if
you lose them.

Passports Needed for Canada Beginning June 1, 2009
Beginning January 23, 2007, the United States Government will require all travelers to the U.S. traveling by air to have a valid passport or other accepted official form of identification when entering/re-entering the U.S. from Canada, Mexico, Bermuda, Mexico and the Caribbean. The regulation will go into effect on June 1, 2009 for those traveling by land or sea.
The new requirements are part of the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) which is one element of a much larger law, the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004. The U.S. Departments of State and Homeland Security have jurisdiction over implementation of the WHTI. See the State Department summary >>

Note: United States citizens traveling between the U.S. and its territories, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands will continue to be able to use established forms of identification (e.g. state issued driver's license) to board flights and for entry.
