Joe Templin

Joe grew up in Lebanon, PA and played his youth hockey as a goaltender in the Hershey Junior Bears organization through Midgets. He joined the University of Scranton Royals varsity hockey team in 1994 while pursuing a Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (1998).

Joe began his coaching career in 1999 with Father Judge (Philadelphia, PA) working with their Jr. Varsity program. In 2001, he started coaching with the Flyers Youth organization (NJ) where he coached at the Bantam level and also served as the goaltending instructor for the entire organization.

As a co-founder of Selects Sports Management, Joe has coached with the organization since 2003, working with our top East and West Coast Selects Spring teams.

He currently serves as the Vice President along with head scout of Selects Hockey and works closely with numerous NCAA, NHL, USHL and CHL programs providing player scouting and evaluation input. Joe currently resides in Mount Laurel, NJ.
 
Armand St. Pierre

Armand has served his country for many years in major roles as a member of the Canadian National Defence Program. Mr. St-Pierre has been involved in hockey and football all of his life, as a player and coach. He has coached minor elite hockey, as well as college and university. In recent years he served as a governor in the QMJHL at the executive level, and as well he sat on several important administrative hockey committees. For several years he has been scouting young prospects in the Quebec region for Major Junior, Universities, and the National Hockey League.

A semi-retired person, Armand brings to Selects Hockey a vast amount of expertise and knowledge in hockey, while being an interface with French hockey organizations and players. Fluent in both English and French, Armand graduated from McGill University with a MBA and PH. D. in the field of Business and Technology.
 
Matt Barth

Originally from Fargo, North Dakota, Matt played his youth hockey with the Fargo Northside Raiders. Matt moved on to play two years of junior hockey, at the Junior B and Junior A levels, respectively.

Matt began his scouting career at the junior level in 2003. He has worked for the Binghamton Jr. Senators (2003-2005) and the Syracuse Stars of the EJHL (2005-2007), recruiting Michigan players for each program respectively. He currently serves as the Michigan regional scout with the Indiana Ice of the USHL and works closely with Selects Hockey in identifying top prospects for the USHL drafts.

Matt is in his 5th year as both a scout and a coach with Selects Hockey program. He is the head coach of the 98 West Coast Selects team after coaching and recruiting the 94 West Coast Selects (WCS) team for 4 successful springs including several championships
 
Steve Cocker

Steve is originally from and resides an hour north of Toronto in Orangeville, Ontario. Growing up in a family of goaltenders, Steve followed suit and played his minor hockey in Orangeville between the pipes. Over the past few years Steve has also volunteered many hour of scouting/recruiting positions that have furthered him in the hockey world.

Steve GM'd his first team at the 2010 NAPS tournament, helping to build the Ontario Jr. Selects team which reached the fials in their first ever event. He serves as GTA Scout with Selects Hockey covering the GTHL and surrounding Ontario leagues while working towards a career in hockey.
 
Magnus Ramstrom

Magnus is the Director of European Selects. He has coached highest level of junior and youth hockey in Sweden and Norway. In both countries he has been working with Player Development as his main focus. Magnus grew up playing his youth and part of his junior hockey in Stockholm area. At a young age he moved to Chicago to study and play hockey. He spent 13 years over there. During this time he played and started his coaching that he continued with in Sweden. Magnus has also taken several hockey courses. His hockey coaching experience has helped SelectsHockey in recruiting top Swedish and other European hockey players, and also in assisting our program in coordinating our European tours. Magnus has also worked as a amateur scout for International Scouting Services (ISS).

Magnus is a veteran instructor of the Selects Hockey Elite Camps and has been behind the bench for several showcase championship teams in recent seasons.
 
Nolan Howe

Nolan Howe is currently serving as a Midwest scout for both the girls and boys programs. After spending last year coaching the Lake Orion Division 1 High school team (located in Lake Orion, MI), Nolan founded Know Howe Hockey, which runs spring developmental camps in the Detroit area and also works with several winter youth teams running practices independently. He was the assistant coach for the West Coast Selects team at the NAPS tournament as well as the camps held in Buffalo last season. He is the grandson of Gordie Howe, Son or Mark Howe, nephew of Marty Howe and brother of President/co founder of Selects Hockey Travis Howe. He currently resides in Clawson, Michigan.
 
Mike Kesler

Played NCAA hockey at Colorado College in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association. Following his collegiate hockey career, Mike began coaching and has been doing so for over 36 years. During that time, he's coached Junior A (4 years), Junior B (3 years), GPD AAA (Bantam Minor, Bantam Major and Midget Major - 2 years), HoneyBaked (Bantam Minor, Midget Minor - 2 years and Midget Major - 3 years), Little Caesars (Midget Minor and Midget Major), Michigan Development Hockey League (MDHL) High School All Star Team – 5 years, etc.

Coached over 200 players who went on to play college hockey and 16 who played professional hockey in the NHL, AHL, IHL, ECHL, CHL or Europe. Four former players have been selected in the 1st round of the NHL draft. These include Tim Gleason - Ottawa Senators; Jason Bacashihua - Dallas Stars; Jim Slater – Atlanta Thrashers;and Ryan Kesler – Vancouver Canucks.

Presently coaches in the Michigan Development Hockey League (MDHL) and scout for KO Sports, Inc., the National Team Development Program (NTDP) and Selects Hockey.

Other significant hockey accomplishments include:

1. Founder of the Thunderbird Hockey School.
2. Assisted Herb Brooks with the 1980 Olympic tryouts in Michigan. That team went on to
win the Gold Medal in Lake Placid.
3. Junior A National Champions and selected Junior A Coach of the Year.
4. Coach and selection committee representative for several USA Select Festivals.
 
Jean-Philippe Fortier

Jean-Philippe is a native from Mont-Laurier in the province of Quebec in Canada. He played his minor hockey for the Draveurs of Mont-Laurier. During his time in junior, he discovered his ambition for coaching. After several years as an assistant coach in the AA and BB levels, he became head coach since 5 years in the Bantam and Midget elite. He was approach by Selects Hockey to be a scout, there he discovered a new passion. Throught his involvement, he participated in 97 WSI in Riga as an assistant coach.

Jean-Philippe holds a degree in Kinesiology from the University of Quebec at Montreal. He works in a rehabilitation clinic on the south shore of Montreal and trains youth players at the fitness level. Jean-Philippe specializes in high performance training and sports injuries.
 
Jason Nicholetts

Jason Nicholetts grew up and played his minor and Junior Hockey in the Hockey hot bed of Thunder Bay Ontario. After his playing days Jason decided to set his sites on developing young Hockey players through Coaching. Jason has worked with the likes of Patrick Sharp, (Chicago Black Hawks) Carter Hutton (University of Massachusetts) and others. Jason has Coached and developed young Hockey Players from the Initiation to Junior Levels, at the AA and AAA level for his entire 15 year Coaching career and is recognized as a Developmental 2 Coach within Hockey Canada NCCP Coaching Citeria. Jason is also an instructor for Norme Lacombes HIT Program and Jeff Serowiks Pro Ambitions camps (www.proambitions.com). He is also an Assistant Coach with Chicago's team Brick. Jason's passion and dedication to development is second to none and he prides himself on motivating and ensuring each kid has a positive experience and develops to their maximum potential.
 
Chris Flowers

Chris attended and played prep hockey for South Kent School during his Junior and Senior years, followed by 2 seasons in the EJHL.

He began his coaching career in 2002 with the Flyers Youth organization in Southern New Jersey. Over the past 8 years, he has worked with Flyers Youth, Team Comcast, and as an instructor for Cougars Selects.

He coached the Team Comcast U16 Elite team last season and will work with the Team Comcast 2000 AAA team for 2011-12.
 
Al Wozney

Al has 29years experience as a coach from the initiation levels right up to the Midget AAA level and has had the privilege of playing and coaching at several championship levels. Some of notable accomplishments include:

� Inducted into BC Hockey Hall of Fame as a member of the only BC Team to ever win the Air Canada Cup (National Midget Championship).
� Coached the Pee Wee AAA Provincial and Atlantic Champions (Avalon Minor Hockey Association, St. John's Newfoundland)
� Coached and developed several Newfoundland players that have gone on to play in the QMJHL, OHL, BCHL, NCAA and NHL.
